Jesus did something peculiar: He made His disciples get into a boat while He went to pray. A storm came up, filling the disciples with fear. The situation didn’t improve when they saw what looked like a ghost walking towards them on the water. But it was Jesus. 

In the storms of our lives, we need to remember that the waves threatening to overturn us are under Jesus’ feet. In fact, our obedience to Christ might be leading us to our current troubles; the way of holiness is not always smooth sailing. But rest assured, Jesus sees us in the storm—even when we’ve lost sight of Him.
